I'm right there with you when it comes to Harry Potter. It's a great universe, so well imagined. But I'm not as active in that fandom as I used to be. I seem to focus more on BTVS now.
I've never really got into HIMYM. I tried watching it because of AH, but even she couldn't pull me in. I watch it sometimes if I'm waiting for Big Bang or The Goldbergs to come on after it.
I used to really love Vampire Diaries but it started to go down hill for me during season 4/5 and has been steadily declining since (for me that is) which is a shame because the characters are interesting and the actors are really good. It was just the writers seemed to feel they needed to link every single plot line back to Elena. I meant to watch the new series, but I forgot all about it. I love the orginals though, it's streets ahead of VD as the moment. Did you read the vampire diaries books?
Do you have a link to the spike/willow story that sucked you into that ship? I'd love to read it if its still online somewhere. the spillow love is sadly lacking these days.
