Fandom Snowflake Challenge Day 6
I didn't get around to reading fics from a different fandom yesterday so I skipped Day 5. Onto Day 6...

1)
whichwillow A BtVS community that's devoted to running an annual fic challenge centered around Willow Rosenbery.
dragonydreams is the mod for the community and she does a fantastic job with the prompts. It's one I wish happened twice a year!
2)
50ayear. This is a community that I run that's dedicated to BOOKS! Specifically, it's a place to share book reviews and root each other on as we challenge ourselves to read at least 50 books a year.
3)
barneyrobin. This is the most active HIMYM community on Livejournal and it can be quite fun. Every time a new episode airs, an episode discussion post goes up. It's fascinating to see the one-off reactions to lines from the episodes along with the posts that delve into personal theories and show continuity. They've also done prompts, polls, and other neat things to generate community participation. Plus, you can't go wrong with all the Barney/Robin fic!
In other news, I've had a good weekend.
We went to Nick's mom's house to celebrate Christmas, Part 5. His sister, brother-in-law, and nieces were also there so that made for a good day. We had a great meal of honey baked ham and a twice baked potato casserole with broccoli and cheese. There was also salad, deviled eggs, a Port Wine cheese balls, crackers, and Mediterranean-style hummus.
We also did a gift exchange. I was pleased to receive a set of appetizer plates from Nick's mom. They're super cute with peacocks on them! She also got me a cutter/scooperNick's sister and her husband got me a Kymera Magic Wand that can be programmed as a remote control.
Today, I read my Kindle. Currently, I'm reading I Wish I Were Engulfed In Flames: My Insane Life Raising Two Boys with Autism by Jeni Decker. It's not the greatest book ever, but it's not bad either. I've also done some laundry and watched a few more episodes of Doctor Who. Only two more episodes and I'll be completely caught up with the show! WOO!

Thanks!
I've been quite pleased with how quickly I was able to devour series 5-7, though I'm a bit sad that I'll have to wait until April to get more episodes.
