Bachelorette Party
Hmm...I just can't come up with a clever title so the one above will just have to do.
The following is a recap of my bachelorette party, which brought together close friends from multiple circles and was, for the most party, pretty darn legend...
...dary. Legendary.
* Party started at my apartment around 2:15 pm. I had a Red's Strawberry Ale and a Bud Light Mango-Rita.
* Party headed to the Fawn Creek Winery for a complementary tasting. My sister bought me a bottle of the Black Magic (black cherry merlot) as a souvenir. It was a low key event and wonderfully fun.
* From there, we went to Wizard's Quest. It's something I always wanted to do in Wisconsin Dells, but never had the chance so I used my party as an excuse. We split up into teams (I was on Team Guardians of the Galaxy. But we also had the Tigers and Quattro.) It's an interactive fantasy adventure where you have to search through the different "realms" and answer the questions in your guidebook. You enter those answers into the kiosk and win points. 250 points will free a wizard (there are 4.) Between the three groups, we managed to free two wizards in the 90 minute timeframe.
*We had dinner at Carvelli's Italian House and this is where things got a little disappointing. I ordered the risotto special, which had shrimp, crab meat, peas, and garlic. I was the last person to get my food and when it came out, the only flavor was black pepper and some undercooked rice. I complained to the waitress at the urging of my friends and sent it back to the kitchen. My sisters shared their dishes with me so I got to try the chicken alfredo and the carbonara. Both were delicious, which makes me think that risotto is not Carvelli's specialty. The restaurant gave me a giant ice cream sundae as an apology and deleted the risotto from the check.
*Then we went to the Showboat Saloon for a drink. It was sort of mellow when we got there, but then people started packing in like crazy. There were five other bachelorette parties and it didn't take long before I felt hot and nearly had a panic attack. Thanks to my friends and sisters, we got out of there, got me some fresh air, and got me breathing normally again.
*We capped off the night at my favorite place in Portage: the wine bar. I had my pink moscato and got to see my friend, Fey.
Despite all the goofs and mishaps (and the fact that I bruised my butt after going down a slide at Wizard's Quest and missing the mat at the bottom), it really turned out to be an excellent evening and it was further proof that I really have the best kind of people in my life.

I am so glad, however, that the fun outweighed the little glitches. It sounds like you have the wonderful friends you deserve!
