When I Say Santa, You Say Claus!
Nick and I had an incredibly wonderfully anniversary weekend and I was stoked that the weather held out enough where we didn't have any trouble driving places.
On Friday, I drove up there after work at my internship site, and we chilled and talked for about an hour while waiting for our friend, Kit, to show up. He came, we went and got dinner (Chicken Fried Steak FTW!), and then went back to Nick's apartment to watch classic episodes of Invader Zim.
On Saturday, Nick and I woke up and went over to Krista's Kitchen, which is a coffee shop/bakery in town. I had the most delicious almond scone that I've ever had in my life and it paired really wonderfully with my hazelnut latte. After that we snuggled for a bit until it was time for us to catch the matinee showing of 2012. It's definitely a good movie if you like to watch things blow up. Following the movie we drove up to the Wisconsin Dells to grab dinner at Ginza of Tokyo. I had the sushi dinner and Nick had the breaded oysters. Even though we ate in the restaurant style dining portion of the restaurant, I was still able to see what one of the Hibachi chefs was doing so that made for a bit of fun on my end :)
Today, we headed downtown to see Canadian Pacific Holiday Train and we had a total blast :) There was a rapping Santa Claus that made me smile with kid-like glee and a great band with loads of holiday spirit. I took pictures, of course, and a few of those are under the cut. We also watched Dollhouse and let me just say, that Summer Glau was brilliantly cast for her role. And I love Victor more and more each time I see him on the show.
Now that I'm back in my apartment, I get to write a 2-page paper on how I thought my first semester at Internship went. It shouldn't be hard of course, but I may have a tough time deciding what to keep in and what to keep out.
