Title: What Do You Wish For? (Four Drabbles)

“What do you wish for?”
She had wished for many things in her life.
When she was five, she wished for a pony. She’s spent hours staring at the stars reciting the “Star Light, Star Bright” poem praying for her mom and dad to get her one. She never got one.
When her parents divorced, she wished they would get back together. It never happened.
Now, the only thing she wished for was to stop fighting. She wanted to set down the stakes and rest. But that wish wasn’t going to happen either. Her friends already made sure of that.
Some days, she wished that Tara was back in her arms. She wished for her softness and her stutter, her strength and her power.
Most days, she wished for him to be with her. She wanted him to pull her into his strong arms and kiss away the fear and the frustration.
She wished to breathe in the heady scent of leather and hero.
She never expected that Angel would be the man that would take over her fantasies. But he had. She just wasn’t sure if she could convince herself to tell him. Especially after everything they’ve been through.
The question troubled him because of his experiences with vengeance demons. They made all their dirty dealings through wishes and those wishes never ended well.
Yet, he still wondered what he would wish for if he ever found a genie or something. He knew he would have to be careful about wording it so it would be clear and not get twisted somehow.
If he had the opportunity, he would wish for hot sex with his old flames. He missed Cordelia’s demanding tongue and blissful sighs. He’d throw Anya and Faith in there too. It was probably every man’s wish.
If she could wish for anything, it would be for Spike to see her as a woman. To see her as a woman who wouldn’t break him down, wouldn’t put him beneath her.
She wished to feel his lips against hers and had often thought about it on those nights she would visit him. She loved hearing his stories, of course, but she always had fantasies playing in her head. Like when he would tell her a story about Drusilla. She wanted him retrace his history by exploring her contours, her nooks, and her secret places.
But he never did.
