"Mistletoe is the common name for a hemi-parasitic plant that attaches itself to a host tree or shrub. It is a poisonous plant but is often displayed as a sign of love and affection during the holidays." Fred blushed, feeling like she had overstepped the bounds of normal society with her babbling. It was a wonder that Angel hadn't walked out on her during her speech, but instead he looked completely rapt. "The Scandinavians actually invented the kissing bit."
Angel's arm snaked around her and pulled her into a tight embrace, pressing the tip of his nose against hers.
"No wonder Cordelia insisted on hanging it up everywhere in the building."
Fred's eyes glowed with anticipated lust as she waited for him to make his next move. "Do you think she…wanted people to…you know…."
Angel grinned, capturing her mouth in a sweet, lingering kiss. "Yeah. I'd say that's exactly what she wanted."
"Well, then we should get moving…I think I spotted another sprig over there," Fred said, pointing to the corner of the room and suppressing a giggle.
Angel chuckled and dragged his girl across the room, pulling her into another eager smooch. It was going to be a damn good holiday after all.
