The Emmy's

I tend to avoid watching award shows because they generally make me feel cranky...and more often than not, kinda bored.

However, because I'm a devoted NPH fan girl, the Emmy's came on tonight and I sat through the entire three hours...

Only to come away feeling tremendously disappointed

+ Loved NPH's opening number. He wears a tux so well. *sigh*

+ I nearly fell out of my seat when Kristen Chenoweth picked up the Emmy for Pushing Daisies. Seeing as this was the first award, it gave me hope for the rest of the show...which as some of you know...

+ Fuck you, Jon Cryer. Fuck you in your stupid ass show that I avoid watching at all costs. To quote NPH, "Shame On You." NPH was freaking robbed.

+ I wanted to cry when Jim Parsons lost too. I mean, I know 30 Rock is a critic's darling and was nominated for absolutely everything but still...TBBT is amazing and deserves to win something. Impress me next year, Emmy. That's all I gotta say.

+ I was also disappointed that Chandra Wilson lost for best supporting actress in a Drama series. Bailey does not get the love she deserves dude.

+ Dr. Horrible's heist of the Emmy's was clever and funny. Nice work to that crew!

+ And I totally predicted Mad Men and 30 Rock would come out on top.

*sigh*

All I can say, is thank god, tomorrow is premiere day.

Generation Kill was totally robbed as a mini series too. I watched it just because I knew NPH was hosting and that Dr. Horrible was going to make an appearance. Otherwise I didn't care.

So what was Generation Kill all about?

And you were in the same boat as me.

The First Marine Recon Battalion in the first days of the war on Iraq. I think it captures the many complications and details of just how hard it is to determine who and what is going on. It's hard to describe because the war is so messed up, but I think the story does a great job of displaying the human element. Generation Kill isn't a battalion of Marines who want to kill, it's the Generation we can afford to kill. I highly recommend it.

Nice to see that Dr. Horrible's ego is as huge as ever and he is still the cheap weekend villain on a budget we know and love.

And screw you Jon Cryer. You made Neil break out in a long chain of profanity off stage. Granted, Neil has a bit of a foul mouth of him, but you were horrifically rude to him. He's the kindest, most sweetest, most awesomest person ever. And I hope that the Emmy after parties, he gets hugs and kisses and foot rubs and alcoholic chocolate. And somebody trips you and you fall on your face and you get mud on that stupid bee sweater vest thing.

I thought NPH handled himself incredibly well all things considered

and in your face, Jon Cryer! Because Neil's still the toast of the town

I agree about generally coming away with a feeling of depression. Exactly the same as last year! Except AT LEAST we had KCHEN, NPH, Dr Horrible etc. And the funny voiceover man.

All in all, ALL Emmy award shows suck. This one less hard than normal.

Ob: FUCK YOU CRYER!

The Emmy's did suck less than normal

But there were a few things they did that just felt unforgivable...aka awarding Jon Cryer an Emmy.

And me, who never watches sitcoms (while fully supporting you all and your fan bases) think that the people you do like should get more props and recognition and accolades. I'm so so sorry your people didn't win more.

I apologise for not liking sitcoms please forgive me. There is a reason.

I can't handle award shows much I get too angry.

But did any of my CSI shows win anything CSI, L&O,
Criminal Minds and the like?

Anyone that used to watch Guiding Light OMG the cast go so ripped off. But the people that did win deserved it.

Just my two cents worth. LOL &heart;

It doesn't bother me that you don't like sitcoms. We all have different interests and there's nothing wrong with that because it gives us insight into each other's lives and makes us better friends, I think :)

I think so too.

Aside from Kristen Chenoweth and Toni Collette, I didn't really care for most of the winners. I have no idea how Jon Cryer beat our NPH for that award. Not fair!

I was thrilled for KCHEN!

And I was proud of Toni Collette too even though I've never seen the United States of Tara.
