The light is goodness incarnate, pure and innocent.

The light pierces his temples, invading the darkness swirling inside of him. It’s harsh, glowing, unrelenting as it burns the evil from his skin and makes him shudder and scream.

The light binds his wrists, pulling him taut. It forces his back to arch like a bow, making him primed and ready for the continuation of this sadistic assault.

The light bends his knees, making him kneel in the face of this goddess, this red-haired sorceress that seeks to purge and destroy him.

Because a rose can never be without her thorns.
