Seven Interests Meme

my penguin!: Penguin is the term of endearment I use for my boyfriend of almost five years now. I didn't actually come up with it though. When we were first introduced by our friend Kit, he called Nick "Penguin" because of the penguin tattoo on the inside of his wrist. Nick calls me his "Butterfly" and on the iPod he bought me, he had the following message inscribed "To my lovely butterfly from your loving penguin." Yeah, I know we're kinda nauseating but I can't help it.
fairly oddparents: is a television show on Nickelodeon and I adore it. It's about this little boy named Timmy who wears a pink hat and has the babysitter from hell. On the upside, he had two fairy godparents named Cosmo and Wanda but no one is allowed to know he has them so if there's someone else in the room, they transform into everyday household objects. Cosmo is a bit of a dingbat and Wanda's the logical one but even so, they always have funny misadventures.
thunderstorms: I find thunderstorms intriguing and have ever since I was little. They're such a powerful force in nature and they're absolutely beautiful to watch. I love seeing lighting flash across the sky and I love the deep rumble of thunder. It always sends a nice little shiver down my spine.
gaelic storm: Gaelic Storm is an Irish band who I've the chance to see twice in concert now :) They have a lot of drinking songs but a lot of nice ones too. I'm particularly fond of "Beggarman" and "Johnny Tarr." If you've ever seen the major blockbuster "Titanic," these boys were the musicians down at the third class/steerage party that DiCaprio and Winslet went too.
nancy/conrad: Nancy/Conrad is a pairing from the televison show "Weeds" (which airs on Showtime). The ship didn't get a real chance to sail until Season 3 but Nancy's sudden split from the suberbs ended the steamy hotness that it was. They did this one sex scene on the show that actually had me sweating 'cause it was just that hot!
noodles and company: Noodles and Co. is a tasty restaurant that specializes in noodles dishes. They have all different types to choose from and it's a fun adventure to try them all. My favorites are the Pesto Cavatappi, the Wisconsin Mac & Cheese, and the Mustroom Stroganoff.
chain maille: Chain maille is on my interests list because I love wearing it at the Ren Faire. I don't actually own my own outfit but there is a shop on the Faire grounds that will rent it to you for free (from about 10 AM - 5 PM). It's a lot more comfortable to walk around in on a hot summer's day than the traditional thick skirts, chemisettes, and bodices. It takes a confident woman to wear it though so it's not for everyone.
