I've only ever been with one man...
Claudia - How I Met Your Mother
This woman has appeared on the show a total of four times. As far as the show is concerned, she's a Bridezilla who's been "drunk her whole life" because she's married to a man beneath her named Stuart who has literally been drunk most of their marriage. Also, they have a daughter named Esther.
Now...in my world, Claudia is way cooler than that. First, she's not with Stuart anymore because he's an abusive douche. Second, she had a scintillating affair with Barney Stinson. Third, she found a soulmate in a woman named Heather Mosby. Fourth, she pushed Robin out of the way of a speeding taxi in an act designed to save their friendship (which b-t-dub is totally awesome now.)
For those of you who might find this canon terribly confusing, I'm merely referring to the How I Met Your Mother role-playing game where I turned a minor guest star into sexy-naughty-insecure-HBIC.
:D
Now for that other news I promised...
I had a very nice Thanksgiving with Nick's family and met his niece Della, who's about two months old now. She's a cutie who sounds a bit like a lamb when she cries because of the way they seem to vibrate in her throat. My favorite moment with her was when she fell asleep in my arms. It was so cute and my heart went all mushy.
I did go Black Friday shopping as well since that's a tradition I've had with my mom and sisters since I was about 10. As much as I'm not really a fan of the crowds, I did have a decent time and ran into the friends I love to visit when I come home so that was a nice surprise.
Finally, I have an amusing story to share.
As I was packing up my car to head home from my parents' today, my mom asked me to tell dad (who was outside working in the shed) to check the tire pressure on the van. I did so and my dad instantly said that mom always asks him to do stuff, but he never asks her for anything.
So when they both gave me a hug, I told them to enjoy the wedding they were going to this evening. That's when the light bulb went off in my head. I looked at my dad and said: "I know what you can ask mom for. A dance!"
I proceeded to laugh at my own cleverness and dad rolled his eyes, saying: "At least you think you're funny."
But then he chuckled and all was well. :)
