Robin Gets Knocked Up


"I'm disappointed, Scherbatzky."

Robin tapped her fingers against the bar counter and rolled her eyes as Barney swooped in next to her.

"What do you want, Barney?"

"I never expected that you of all people would let your figure go. I mean, really, I watched you gain at least 20 pounds this week."

Robin sighed heavily and placed a protective hand over her tummy.

"I'm pregnant, Barney," she whispered.

Barney's eyes widened and his jaw dropped in surprise. "There's a Canadian bun in your oven?"

"Well, technically, the baby will be multiracial. Part Canadian. Part New Yorker."

Barney raised his hand in anticipation of a high five and Robin reluctantly gave it to him. She still hadn't told him who the father was and she was positive he wouldn't be so thrilled at the news.

"Barney...there's something I think you should know. Remember that night...when we went to the Ben Folds concert with the gang...and we did the...again?"

Barney grinned. "Man, that was awesome. I gotta remember that move. Never done that before."

Robin chewed on her bottom lip and wished she could be drinking a nice single-malt scotch right now. It probably would make her next confession a lot easier. But, she couldn't do that - according to the parenting books - so she figured she might as well just give the band-aid a real hard tug and get it over with. He needed to know that the pull and pray method did not work no matter how crappy the band was.

"You're the father."

Last night's ep was a repeat from Season 3 called "Sandcastles in the Sand."

But yes, I've seen it :) It made me ecstatic.

I always liked how he reacted to his brother James adopting back in the 2nd season.
