Poll: LJ and Work

This question may not apply to everyone but I'm curious to see whether or not my flist checks their Livejournal during their work day.

I probably look at LJ at least twice during my work day because it helps the time go a little faster. That and I catch my work supervisor looking at facebook and myspace all the time so I feel a little less guilty about it.

Well, at my current job as far as I know there is no way to get on the internet. But, if there was I would totally check LJ at work. Most of the jobs I've had were lacking in Internet access.

I've had a few of those too

I am allowed to be online private as long as my work gets done. So I'm on constantly^^

I'm an "other" cause I don't work. But you knew that already. *g*. maybe I'm an other for other reasons too. *ponders*

P.S. I'm so squeeing about the fic I'm writing you!!!!!!

I did know that, hun

*squishes*

I voted "other," because there is no possible way to check LJ at my current job. But when I did work a job where there was internet access, I'd usually make my internet rounds (including LJ) whenever there was downtime.

that's fair

The majority of my job is in front of a computer. If I didn't check LJ I'd expire from stress. :-D

*hugs*

I hear ya there :)

My current job doesn't have computers (nor does it need them). But when I've worked in offices where I've had access, I do tend to check LJ here and there during the day. Especially if work is slow and I need to pass some time.

Only when no managers are there and I can wipe the computer history :D

My job doesn't really approve of using the registers as real computers. I do it sometimes though.

Can't say I blame you

I have no internet access at work, I'm out driving for the majority of the day.

thanks :)

I try not to spend too much time on LJ at work. It's one of those sites that, depending on a person's layout, looks like you're not on a work-related site. But when I'm really bored, I will go on.

[identity profile] snogged.livejournal.com 2009-03-09 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
that is very true about the layouts

Since I don't actually have a job, the question doesn't really apply, but when I'm writing and on a pretty good roll I try to limit my interruptions as much as possible and I'll only check LJ maybe twice. Sometimes not at all.

I checked my lj pretty much everyday at work when I was in Japan. For a long time, that was the only way I could get on the internet and look at it! However, the frequency varied depending on how busy I was.

At Starbucks I have to work. At most of my temp jobs I have internet that I can play with. :)

cool :)

Very rarely! I'm too afraid of what banners or icons may be up.

I get most of my work done in the morning, so the afternoon is pretty much spent online. My boss doesn't care what we do as long as it's legal and doesn't interfer with our work. I'm usually on LJ on and off throughout the day.

I'm on here a lot at work, but my boss doesn't care because I get my work done during the day and I don't cause problems of course! I need something to do to keep me entertained! LOL.

Well that works out well for you then :)
