Writer's Block: Books

Out of all of your favorite books, pick just one you'd recommend everyone read. As a bonus: why did you pick that one?

Without a doubt, this is a hard as hell question.

But the book that is standing out right now is "The Seventh Princess" by Nick Sullivan

My 4th grade teacher had it on her book rack and I read it at least fifty times before the end of that year. Years later, when I went to college, I made a point to track the book down so I could add it to my library.

I've always loved fantasy and I've always loved stories where the heroine kicks ass.

This story gave me both. Once you pick it up, you just can't put it down. And that's the mark of a truly awesome book (even if it's only 107 pages and I can read it in less than 30 minutes now).

I can't wait to share this book with my own children.

There's something wonderful about a book that stays with you through the years, like a childhood friend with whom you never lose touch.

I'm that way about Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause (the book, dear god not the movie) I must've checked it out a million times. In High School the librarian gave me a copy for graduation.

There's such a powerful thing in the memories we have of books we read as children. It's awesome.

Oh, I loved Blood and Chocolate (the book, not the movie)

That's awesome your librarian gave you a copy :)

I love the books from childhood that stick with you forever. I had a series I read as a girl, and as an adult I tracked them all down and completed my set. *g*
