Five Things That Made [livejournal.com profile] snogged Happy Today

I'm deciding to focus on the positive today.

1. Eating shrimp egg rolls.

2. Seeing The King's Speech for $5 US and believing that it does live up to the hype. Colin Firth absolutely deserved the Best Actor award. Geoffrey Rush was bloody charming. And Timothy Spall was in something that didn't have him sporting a huge wart. :)

3. Finding the one gas station in town that sells Honest Tea products.

4. Spencer Reid and Penelope Garcia from Criminal Minds. (I'm trying to watch them in order now instead of catching the marathons on the ION channel. I'm up to episode 8 of Season 2.)

5. Reading my book (Angel of Death Row: My Life As A Death Penalty Defense Lawyer by Andrea Lyons.)

As an extra bonus, here's a joke I stumbled upon yesterday that made me amused.

A unionized public employee, a member of the Tea Party, and a CEO are sitting at a table. In the middle of the table is a plate with a dozen cookies on it. The CEO reaches across and takes 11 cookies...looks at the tea partier and says, "Watch out for that union guy, he wants a piece of your cookie."

SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed!

What about Penelope & Morgan? :) & what do you think of L? I can't figure out how to spell her name....

[identity profile] snogged.livejournal.com 2011-03-02 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
Penelope and Spencer are definitely my favorites. But Morgan's growing on, especially after he put his life on the line to hold the hand of a woman who had a bomb under her car seat. Plus his interactions with Penelope are wicked adorable.

Elle is an interesting gal. I don't blame her for shooting that un-sub in cold blood, though I do wish the episodes that followed made a mention of her. I find it hard to believe that they all just moved on from it.

Oh they will...or they did, I can't remember what episode it is....I think its S2 ep 8....

Now, S3 ep 8 really does it for me in Morgan/Garcia....you'll have to let me know when you are there. :)

Oh yeah...S5 ep 9 is also excellent...umm, A&E also has CM on it.

I will definitely let you know when I get to season 3 and season 5. :P

As for A&E, I don't have cable.

Sounds like you've had a good day! Shrimp egg rolls are yummy and it's great to know that "The King's Speech" is a good movie. I'm definitely more excited about watching it now!

LOL at the joke!

[identity profile] snogged.livejournal.com 2011-03-02 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
Hope you get to see it. :)
I recommend the R-rated film though, as I hear they are remaking it into a PG-13 film.

I love that joke! It is tragically true.

It is definitely tragically true.

Yum egg rolls!

I've been meaning to see The King's Speech for ages! I think we'll have to wait for the DVD though. Alas!

Hahaha, that joke must be making the rounds. One of my co-workers sent that to us this morning! :P

[identity profile] snogged.livejournal.com 2011-03-02 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
I think it will be worth the rental. Just make sure you get the R-rated version. I heard they're planning on editing the film and re-releasing it as PG-13.

[identity profile] magpieinthesky.livejournal.com 2011-03-02 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
That's so lame! Though I guess I kind of see why they'd do that. :P

Sounds like a good day....

Love the joke... so sadly accurate.

and *random hugs for the hell of it*

The little things always make me so happy and I cannot help smiling when I see someone being like that too. :D :)

I need the little things right now.
They help a lot.

I'm glad you're having a "happy day!" ;) - Buffy "Something Blue."

Thanks!

YAY for lots of things that make you (and me) smile!

*squishes*

I'm back to work tomorrow. :P

I'm still just catching random episodes of Criminal Minds on ION and A&E... like right now. At least I get to see the various hair stylings of Spencer and Penelope. I've caught a couple eps on CBS and Spencer's hair is in quite a short-length crazy professor mode... I still like it though. ;)

[identity profile] snogged.livejournal.com 2011-03-20 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Spencer is a total cutie. :)
