While driving around with my mother today (I'm in town visiting, fyi), we got onto the subject of laundry. Upon discovering that Nick and I do laundry separately (as in he does his stuff and I do mine - for the most part), she said we sounded more like roommates instead of a couple.
I know I could have just said: what different does it make? But instead...I opted for:
"We make out."
And that was the end of that. :)

If I was in a relationship, I'd probably be doing my laundry separately as well since I have to use a particular brand of detergent.
