While driving around with my mother today (I'm in town visiting, fyi), we got onto the subject of laundry. Upon discovering that Nick and I do laundry separately (as in he does his stuff and I do mine - for the most part), she said we sounded more like roommates instead of a couple.

I know I could have just said: what different does it make? But instead...I opted for:

"We make out."

And that was the end of that. :)

Great way to respond... and I'd rather do my laundry separately than get stuck being the one to do it all... which is what usually happens to me.

I hate having to do it all. It's one thing to just throw a few of his shirts in to top off my load, but he's fully capable of running the machine too.
