* "What If?" fics. I love writing them and I love reading them.
* Dark fics
* Hurt/comfort fics
* Angst

Kinks
* Psychological/Mind-fuckery
- For real, go read Mind-Fuck by ash_carpenter. It's Fred/Angelus and it pretty much covers a lot of my favorite kinks.

* Bondage/domination/submission (when it's done well and done in line with the general BDSM community.)

* Men coming in their pants (another one I blame ash_carpenter and rockstarpeach for. They are forever my favorite mavens of the dark and dirty fic genres.

Mind-fuckery, definitely. I tend to call it betrayal but I'm pretty sure we're meaning the same thing. Ash Carpenter's The Show is a great example.
