Comment on this post and I will choose seven interests from your profile. you will then explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. post this along with your answers in your own journal so that others can play along.

The following are the ones that my dear poodle [livejournal.com profile] tamakin picked out for me:
bristol ren faire, celtic music, thunderstorms, oreos, chobits, the big bang theory aaaaaaand bellatrix lestrange

~Bristol Ren Faire~
I can't stress this enough. Bristol is my true home. It's the place where I can slip into the days of Elizabethan England and lose myself in fantasy. It's the place where most men is a gentlemen (but they have their scoundrel sides too). It's the place where I find my family and my army. I'm always wrecked about leaving at the end of the season but I keep telling myself that all I have to do is close my eyes and those people I love and care for will be waiting for me in my mind. In more general terms, it's a Festival that takes places during summer months in the state of Wisconsin. You don't have to be a Rennie or dress in the style to become a part of the merriment. There's food and frivolity. I only wish it wasn't so expensive.

~Celtic Music~
Celtic music tends to be what I listen to when I need to relax. I love Loreena McKennit and the Celtic Women CD's. I also love Gaelic Storm, which is considered a Celtic rock band. It makes me long for the trip to Ireland and Scotland that I have not been able to take yet. Someday I will though and that will be a trip made of awesome.

~Thunderstorms~
I love thunderstorms. I find them wickedly fascinating and I love seeing the strikes of lightning light up the sky. They are so raw, passionate, and primal that I just feel shivers down to my toes whenever one is going on near me.

~Oreos~
I love OREOS! They are the best cookie ever especially after they've soaked in milk for a few seconds.

I think my favorites are the Chocolate Creme ones but the originals always hit the spot too.

~Chobits~
Chobits is an anime and manga designed by the CLAMP team. I haven't read all the mangas yet but I have seen the anime show and it fascinated me. Since Tam has no clue what Chobits is about, I'll tell you all. The story centers on this guy named Hidecki, who's a little bit of a loser but he's got a good heart. Besides getting a girlfriend, he really wants to have a Persecom. Persecoms are expensive androids that do things for the person who owns them(and based on the show, almost all of them are female). Hidecki ends up finding one in the dumpster and he takes her home with him.

Her name is Chi and Hidecki takes on the task of teaching her different concepts and stuff since she can't remember anything. Unlike other Persecoms, Chi can reach out on an emotional level and develops feelings for Hideki.

I don't want to spoil you or anything but I fully believe it's something to check out if you like that kind of stuff.

~The Big Bang Theory~
The Big Bang Theory is an absolutely hilarious sitcom about a couple of physics nerds and the hot girl that winds up being their next door neighbor and friend. The nerdy humor of the show is what hooked me. I love the video game references and the periodic table shower curtain. And so far, I haven't been disappointed in a single episode of the show. Sheldon is definitely my favorite character because he's so blissfully unaware of how socially inept he is.

~Bellatrix Lestrange~
I love bad guys, more specifically I love bad girls. I find powerful female villains intensely fascinating and there's something about Bella that drew me in the second her character was introduced into the Harry Potter series. Sure, she was mean and horrible and cruel but she was the only woman who was truly inside Voldemort's inner circle. She was the witch that broke the "glass ceiling" of the dark wizard boy's club (so to speak). My love for her was increased when Helena Bonham Carter was chosen to play her in the movies. I've got a pretty serious girl crush on that woman and I even went to the OOTP premiere dressed (as best as I could) as Bellatrix Lestrange.

That was sort of fun, I guess. I'm curious to see if anyone comments.
