R.I.P

Yesterday and today, my flist has been awash with tributes and memorials to Patrick Swazye. And while it's sad that he passed away, my brain has not been in awesome celebrity tribute mode because someone far closer passed away last night. My friend Kit's mom lost her three-month battle to cancer and all I can think is what sort of raw hell he's going through.

So I guess what I need to say is two great people passed away already this week and I hope their souls are resting in peace.

Second, I'm looking to pick your brains this evening. My boyfriend and I have a daily thing where we send each neat articles we find dealing with different aspects of the world. So what I'm interested to discover is what some of your favorite sites are to learn new information.
