Get Your Ass Up, Show Me How You Burlesque
Aug. 6th, 2013 08:17 pmSo, I'm going to start this entry with a little bit of time travel.
On Sunday, I checked Facebook and noticed that one of my Zumba instructors had posted about Sunday night's class and she was asking for requests.
According to Tami, I was the only one who requested a song and that song was: "Show Me How You Burlesque" by Christina Aguilera. The routine we do involves the Charleston, jazz hands, and lots of kicks. It's so much fun. At Sunday's class, Tami dared me to come up to the front of class and teach it, but I chickened out and opted to stay in my spot.
Now that you know that, let's go to tonight:
I went to the Zumba class that Tami and Heather co-teach. The song from Sunday showed up on the playlist and I let out a whoop of excitement.
Tami once again challenged me to go to the front of class and this time I did it!
I co-taught the song with Heather, but she scooted over to one side so I was front and center. Thank goodness the class was full of smiling and encouraging faces.
Heather gave me a high-five at the end of the song. :)
I feel positively gleeful and so proud of myself for being brave.
