We lost access to our network/internet access at work today because some stupid fuck-nut from Frontier Wireless cut our cable when they were working on other shit.
It's really amazing how necessary technology has become to my line of work. We don't keep paper files (if we did, I'd go insane.) My daily work is possible because of the online case system we use as well as having access to my work email. Thankfully, my first appt of the day cancelled and my second appt was an intake so I had some paper versions of my intake form handy.
*sigh*
On the bright side, I keep a number of books in my office so it wasn't too bad focusing my attentions on a book related to focused acceptance, commitment therapy, and brief strategies for radical change. But...doing it for five out of the eight hours in my work day did not make me an especially happy camper.
Here's hoping the connection gets fixed tonight!
