It’s Not Cheating if It’s Just Goodbye

Pairing or Main Characters: Anya/Giles, Anya POV

Word count: 176
Anya scrubbed vigorlously at a permanent stain etched into the small, round table. She had kissed Giles. No, Giles had kissed her. No, they had kissed each other. Their mouths had met in steamy, sexy congress.
She glanced over at him and a small smile crinkled the corners of her lips. Giles was a good kisser even though he had wrinkles and a receding hair line.
She wanted him to kiss her again. She wanted him to wrap his arms around her waist and and nibble on her earlobe in that spot she liked best.
“Giles, what happened was weird and I’m not sure why it happened but will you kiss me again? Just like you did before?” Anya asked, shyly.
Giles looked at her in surprise. “Anya, you’re getting married to Xander.”
“I know. But I want to remember your taste before you go to England. It’s not cheating, it’s just goodbye.”
Giles moved across the room and bent her backwards, kissing her lips with soft passion. “Take care of my store, Anya.”
“I will.”
