Writer's Block: Books
Apr. 25th, 2009 04:39 pmOut of all of your favorite books, pick just one you'd recommend everyone read. As a bonus: why did you pick that one?
Without a doubt, this is a hard as hell question.
But the book that is standing out right now is "The Seventh Princess" by Nick Sullivan
My 4th grade teacher had it on her book rack and I read it at least fifty times before the end of that year. Years later, when I went to college, I made a point to track the book down so I could add it to my library.
I've always loved fantasy and I've always loved stories where the heroine kicks ass.
This story gave me both. Once you pick it up, you just can't put it down. And that's the mark of a truly awesome book (even if it's only 107 pages and I can read it in less than 30 minutes now).
I can't wait to share this book with my own children.

on 2009-04-25 10:40 pm (UTC)There's such a powerful thing in the memories we have of books we read as children. It's awesome.
