Monday Night TV Rocks.

SQUEE! This episode genuinely amused the heck out of me and I think taking the straightforward approach to making the Barney/Robin relationship work is really working :)

+ Barack Obama, Jr. (The girl who fell for it has an IQ that matches her cup size though...geez louise.)

+ Lists! Glorious, glorious lists. There were so many of them in this episode that my little brain explode with joy. I don't know if I've shared my secret here before but I LOVE LISTS!

+ The flashbacks to Barney trying to sneak out the window and Barney leaving her to deal with her own emotional crap until she's ready to have sex were classic.

+ Lily has sex dreams about Robin. Nom.

+ All the Ted/Barney moments. Scherbatsky 101. Ted saying he loved him. The "Oh Captain, My Captain Bit."

+ Ted actually having a sledgehammer that's easy for Robin to access.

+ Penguins :)

+ Butterscotch is to Canadian women what Chocolate is to American Women (Speaking of which, that whole pop quiz thing was really funny! And the sexual tension between Ted/Barney when Ted was gripping his lapels...)

+ The "You're An Idiot" in place of "I Love you." (I think it's funny because Nick actually does that sometimes too. He's not afraid to say "I love you" but he'll also tell me I'm a dork (when I know he's really saying he loves me).

+ Robin's continued daddy issues. (Don't worry, hunny. You're with daddy Barney now and he'll solve all your problems)

+ And the staircase! NPH rocks the vulnerable look so hardcore. And Robin was just so delightful. *blissful sigh*

What Didn't Work For Me

+ The barrel storyline did not thrill me. I mean, the Bermuda Triangle thing was clever, but really? I want to see Marshall and Lily plot that goes beyond 1 or 2 episodes. Let's get them pregnant or something!

+Ted's bitterness about Robin saying "I Love You." When you consider the S2 episode, "First Time In New York," I have a hard time getting behind this comment because of the way Robin struggled to say "I Love You" to Ted and it was a huge deal when she finally did because it's something she has difficulty with in general.

+ I'm such a sucker for the humorous stylings of Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco. They play off each other so well!

+ Penny dancing around the kitchen making French Toast on Oatmeal day. And Sheldon being a clown made of candy in some of the alternate dimensions

+ Penny and Leonard breaking her bed! (Looks like the sex got better...lol)

+ Sheldon throwing away the French Toast

+ Sheldon's use of operant conditioning to control Penny's behavior. And OMG! When Penny caught the chocolate in her mouth like a seal...I was rolling with laughter even though it was kinda terrible that she didn't realize what the boys were doing.

+ Aww! They brought anime to BBT :)

+ The Raj moment where the girl asks him what he's going to get and he says that he'd probably get Hepatitis

+ "Interesting. Sex works better than chocolate to modify behavior. Wonder if anybody else has stumbled on to that." OMG!! OMG!! Oh Sheldon

+ And now for my dirty, dark little secret from last night: Goth!Howard = Hot. When he walked into the apartment in that black duster? My eyes nearly bugged out of my skull. Raj made a cute goth kid too.

I haven't seen Castle yet but I plan on doing that tonight :)
