Summer Squash Recipes?
Aug. 15th, 2010 05:37 pmA friend of mine gifted me with two lovely summer squashes from her garden and I was curious if any of my flist had recipes they could share with me as I'm hopeless when it comes to cooking experimentally, but I can follow a recipe all right.

on 2010-08-16 03:52 am (UTC)Slice the squash (I slice it into sticks a couple centimeters wide and generally leave out the seeds just because those are hard to digest, but I know others keep them in)
Put some olive oil in a frying pan and heat on medium/high until the pan is heated
Put in the squash and frozen diced onion (to taste, I usually put in between 1/4 and 1/2 a bag)
Add a spoonful of garlic
Add a dash of spices (I use Mrs. Dash)
Cook until onions are brown and the squash is lovely and soft
