Parker had a strange craving for pretzels.
She could pick rods because she liked to suck on them until the gritty salt dissolved on her tongue. That made Hardison smirk.
She could pick sticks because she liked to stick them between her upper lip and her gums and transform into a funny walrus. That made Hardison laugh.
She could pick sandwiches because she liked to run her finger through the smear of cheddar cheese and lick it off with one smooth stroke. That made Hardison eat one too.
She could pick flavored because she liked them hot and spicy. That made Hardison smile.
But she didn’t want to pick soft ones because with the right amount of effort, they tore like paper, like…hearts, and that was something Hardison would never do.
