Block hel2525@yahoo.com
Sep. 16th, 2010 05:30 pmIt's been brought to my attention that someone is using one of my old handles to send spam letters to people. If you receive an email from this address (most likely to be about how I'm getting mugged in London), DO NOT RESPOND TO IT. BLOCK IT IMMEDIATELY.
This is not my email address. It is a spoof address so there's nothing else I can to fix the problem because I don't actually own this account.
Thank you.

on 2010-09-17 01:22 am (UTC)I think somehow the spoofers/spammers got hold of the contact list from an extremely dead Hotmail account and so that's who got affected.

on 2010-09-17 06:44 pm (UTC)I used to be hel2525@hotmail.com, but that account is long since dead. These messages are being sent from hel2525@YAHOO.com so my personal accounts were never actually hacked into.
Hence the only recourse i can take is letting people know that I haven't taken any spontaneous trips to London.
