I hadn't planned on doing a second post today, but when this article link appeared on my Facebook news feed, I knew it needed to be done.

This just makes me sick.

I cannot even fathom the horror of that. Why do some people even have children? What is WRONG with this woman????

Oh dear God.

Sometimes I wish I could just ignore these kinds of stories, they're just so sickening.

I agree, why must some people insist on having children?

Thank God I'm not on Facebook.

She should be put in the electric chair for that, the bitch!

thats not farmvilles fault, that is just one crazy lady. If she didn't kill it for that, it probably would have been online poker.

I'm not looking to blame Farmville by posting this.

Though I don't necessarily think she would have killed her own child if the environmental cues had been different. More than likely, she was an extremely frustrated single mother who had no prior education about raising children.

She is only 22.

It's quite terrifying.

It's certainly troubling.

And seeing as she's so young, I do have to wonder if she ever got a proper "birds and bees" education.

lol, no, I didn't think so, I was just kidding. But, it is really hard to make light of such a horrible situation.

What's wrong with her?

I wager she's an uneducated single parent who did an irrationally regrettable thing while under stress.

I don't really think Facebook is at fault here.

But not having one certainly helps you avoid all the awful games.

Given that the girl is only 22, my guess is she didn't insist so much as had sex without protection.

For sure.

I think the electric chair is a little extreme.

And I also think it could have happened regardless of whether or not Facebook was involved.

Shaken baby syndrome is sadly not uncommon.

I completely understand having a hangman's sense of humor in these situations. As awful as they are, sometimes you just need that.

I don't understand people like that. I mean, yeah, I like my facebook games, but (1) I lost interest in farmville ages ago; and (2) WTF?

I have to wonder if there isn't a severe case of post-partum depression going on here, or if this person is just seriously mentally unbalanced.

I'm thinking it's more an issue of age (22), a lack of education, and a lack of social support.

That could be it as well. But sheesh, even at 22 I knew better than to have unprotected sex. Or shake a baby until it was dead. At any rate, as a lot of people have said, if it wasn't farmville it would have been something else that set her off. It was just a matter of time :-(

yeah, cause if you seriously thought about every one of these stories in the news, I don't think almost anyone would be able to get out of bed in the morning.
