This film is one of my obsessions. It's all about finding female empowerment in sexuality and it's positively powerful while at the same time, it carries the undertones of romance (since most movies generally go there.)
It's the story of Veronica Franco, a woman who was trained to become a courtesan during the Italian Renaissance and accused of witchcraft during the Black Plague. She writes poetry, dances, and sword fights. It's based on a true story (see: The Honest Courtesan) so that just makes it extra awesome.
I definitely recommend seeing it if you haven't already!

Health update: I'm feeling much better today. :) Of course this means going to work instead of watching more of a A Very Potter Sequel, but that's okay.
