Now I'm not sure if I'm stretching this, but I'm sure if I can provide a reasonable explanation as to why I chose her, it'll be just fine.

Parker from Leverage

She's a thief, born and bred, but she's not an antagonist. Instead...she's more like a ninja without the whole kicking the crap out of people part that tends to come with "warrior" status, hence the call for "non-warrior."

She's part of a Robin Hood-esque crew that screws with corporations, big wigs, and criminals in order to restore balance to the lives of people who have been screwed over by them.

In addition to being an excellent pickpocket, rappeller, and safe code cracker, she's also had a rough childhood and tends to be awkward and bizarrely quirky. That doesn't stop Sophie, Hardison, Eliot, and Nathan from pushing her to be better than she can be.

Mostly though...I just can't stop loving her.

Day Nineteen: Favorite non-human female character
Day Twenty: Favorite female antagonist
Day Twenty-One: Favorite female character screwed over by canon
Day Twenty-Two: Favorite female character you love but everyone else hates
Day Twenty-Three: Favorite female platonic relationship
Day Twenty-Four: Favorite female romantic relationship
Day Twenty-Five: Favorite mother/daughter and/or sister relationship
Day Twenty-Six: Favorite classical female character (from pre-20th century literature or mythology or the like)
Day Twenty-Seven: A female character you have extensive personal canon for
Day Twenty-Eight: Favorite female writer (television, books, movies, etc.)
Day Twenty-Nine: A female-centric fic rec
Day Thirty: Whatever you’d like!

I really wish I was joining the masses that are heading out to see the midnight showing of Harry Potter, but Kit and I decided to wait and instead will be seeing the latest showing of it on Friday night since taking off of work is a bit difficult for both of us (him because he works for his dad, and me because I don't like not getting paid and temp employment doesn't provide vacation time.)

But enough about that, I need to go get myself some coffee and hit the road. Power Packer is calling my name. *sigh*

Later gators.

Only seen a few episodes of Leverage, but she definitely seemed like a big reason to keep watching.

Plus, I"m an utter sucker for heists.

Parker, Eliot, and Hardison totally make the show worth watching.

I haven't seen any of the Harry Potter movies... or read the books. Should I check them out? Are they really up Buffy's alley?

Ok...seriously?

If you've never read the Harry Potter books, than I must insist that you do.

Why?

They're awesome and worthy of obsession. Yes, they start out somewhat childish but like the characters, they grow up and mature.

I may just have to do that, but I'll probably just watch the movies.
