Episode Redux: The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother (SPOILERS)

OMG!

Thank you CBS for gracing my TV with one of the funniest hours of television :)



This was a truly entertaining episode and I really love the Penny-Sheldon dynamic. Also dug the hooker that hit on Wollowitz. Jewish girlfriend bit? She pulled it off!

Loved the dinnertime stuff and the bedtime stuff. Especially Penny singing "Soft Kitty" again. Personally, I think she's gotten better at singing it :)

And Sheldon reciting The Man From Cornwall was totally awesome.

The ending of this episode made me stop breathing a little because I was laughing so much.





What Made It Awesome?
1. Barney's talk about girls whose names end in "ly" being dirty and Marshall going on the defensive at first when Barney says Lily before he realizes what he said and then promptly agrees. And the girls whose names end in "i"? Hang onto your keys!! :)

2. Jesus invented the three day rule and the high five. True story.

3. Finding out that Barney and Marshall were playing Holly. NPH has the best facial expressions ever!

4. "I think we're about to have sex with Ted." *snort* If this doesn't inspire more threesome fics, I don't know what will.

5. STAN!!! I pretty much heart him. That voice...mmmmm.... That body? No THANK YOU!

6. Barney and Marshall arguing over who Ted was more likely to go gay for. "I'm cuddly, bitch! Deal with it!" (I want that icon'ned so bad)

7. Ted not knowing what LOL means.

8. The fact that I was near tears from laughing by the end of it.

One thing I didn't like:

Ted's naked lady laugh was so stupid and creepy.

Omfg I just watched it--I'm pretty sure the HIMYM gods sent us this episode.
Barney & Marshall both totally want to "get with" Ted! I'm just... I'm so happy right now. lol. The mere mention of his supposed gay dreams made my life, but their reaction? :D

And "I'm cuddly, bitch" might be the best line of ANY episode. And totally agree about the laugh being weird.

I haven't laughed SO HARD at anything in so long as HIMYM. There needs to be mass iconing of everything said in that episode.

I pretty much died at "I'm cuddly, BITCH!" I want that on a t-shirt or something.

Gayest episode ever, and so much lol's. I couldn't even be bothered by Ted being...bothersome. At the commercial I was like "Oh, haha, Marshall and Barney will be saying the other one's his best friend, that's kind of funny." but the fact that they were saying they were more desirable killed me.

Holli reminded me so much of creepy met online girl.

I really loved this episode. I laughed out loud several times during the whole thing. I think the fact that Barney and Marshall competed as to who Ted would have gay dreams about is hilarious. This episode was slashilicious. I think I nearly died from laughing about the text-sex. <3

We need more HIMYM slash now and this episode is totally making a lot of slash pairings look a lot better. You think the writers know? *looks around*

This was by FAR the funniest ep this season. I literally, (yes Ted, LITERALLY) ROFLed. I fell off the couch and rolled on the floor laughing at the argument between Marshall and Barney over Ted's homoerotic desires.

"I'm Cuddly BITCH" really should be a catchphrase or something.

I really didn't mind Stan's body because I have a friend who looks like him. Plus, I know far uglier people.

See, I've always thought that writers are fully aware of the pairings that people dream up for the show and they go out of there way to at least subtle hints to feed different frenzies, if not going all the way and making them a couple (depending if they feel it would work or not)

This epi definitely put me in the mood to write some slashy-iness but sadly, my homework has got to come first right now. I'm almost done with the semester, which means really long papers are being due.

I think Ted has homoerotic desires if his mind was so keen to pop Barney and Marshall in all of those situations. I mean... Ted... really... you pictured them naked and giggling in a bubble bath, spooning in a pink blanket, and in drag showing off those nice legs of theirs. You don't have to make up what is already there. Okay, okay, so I've gone looking for HIMYM slash before, and was subsequently disappointed at the lack thereof. Months passed, until I saw the most recent episode, "The Three Days Rule".

Well. After that, how could I *not* go searching again? Surely, I thought, someone in that small fandom would capitalize on all the gay-ness in that ep?

I haven't really watched Numb3rs, though I did watch the ep NPH guest starred on. It seemed decent.
