Holiday Wish List 2010
Nov. 4th, 2010 11:53 amS T E P . O N E - make a post to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related (fics, picspams, fanmixes) to medium (dvds, books, bracelets, etc) to really big (a new computer, a car, etc). The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want. - If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your e-mail address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
S T E P . T W O - Surf around your f-list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part: - If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use - or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free - do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
For your reference, I'll be adding this to my sidebar links.
1] Fanfiction for any of my favorite fandoms and/or pairings. This includes Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel the Series, Leverage, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, The Vampire Diaries (seriously, if anyone can write me a Caroline/Stephan OR Caroline/Damon fic, I’ll love you for an eternity.) As for pairings, I’m fond of the unconventional and alternative ones, but there are a few canon ones I like. A majority of those I like are listed on my profile page.
2] Any books written by Roald Dahl, Neil Gaiman, or Terry Pratchett. I loved Roald Dahl as a kid, but I only read them at the library and it would be great to have my own copies. I also must sadly admit that I’ve never read the Discworld series or
3] Mix CDs. Send me your favorite songs, songs you’d think I’d like, etc. One particular request I have though is
4] Something from my My Amazon Wish List
5]
6] Methland: The Death and Life of an American Small Town by Nick Reding.
7] Giant Microbes (http://www.giantmicrobes.com/us/main/giantmicrobes-originals/). They’re cute, and fluffy, and won’t make you sick (unlike the real thing).
8] Anything related to Cthulhu. As I am completed fascinated with this Lovecraft creature.
9] Rubber ducks. I have a rubber duck themed bathroom so I'm a big fan of these little guys.
10] Letters, Christmas cards, some type of mail. I get giddy walking to my mailbox and seeing something that has my name on it.
Speaking of Christmas cards, I opened up a post yesterday (which can be found HERE ) for people who are interested in receiving one from me.
Also, if you need my address please send me an email at penglii.girl @ gmail.com or message me through LJ and I’ll get that information to you.
Finally, if any of you are posting one of these please feel free to send me the link!
Thanks!

on 2010-11-04 05:00 pm (UTC)Playlist.com --> http://www.playlist.com/searchbeta/tracks#like%20a%20g6/all/1
Does that help? The site is absolutely free and there is no downloading. It's just a streaming site, but you can search and add things to your playlist. I looooooove it!

on 2010-11-04 06:38 pm (UTC)I can probably do you some fanfiction. But Christmas is weird for me this year as I'm in Cyprus at the time when I'd normally be sending cards and presents. I'm just not going to stress it!
