Darn My Lack Of Culinary Goddess-ness

I really want to make this recipe:

Creamy Avocado Pasta.

But I don't own a blender or a food processor, which is required as the recipe calls for pulsing the garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, avocado, basil, and salt in order to make the sauce.

:/

I tried a Google search to find an alternative method, but so far, everything is pointing towards an item in the kitchen I don't have.

I have one of those mini-food processors. They're around $10 and they work just as good as the bigger ones.

I realize this doesn't help you much at the moment so here's my advice: mince everything as best as you can and try using a hand-held mixer, if you have one. Baring that, a potato masher might work.

Do you have an electric mixer, either stand or hand? It might not come out as smooth as it would in a blender or food processor, but it should get pretty close.

And speaking from personal experience, the Magic Bullet is way-hey shiny. I love mine. It makes awesome smoothies and would work pretty well for this sauce.

Aww. I just bought a blender at Wal-Mart the other day for $14. It's probably crappy, but it's so hot here in the summer we make lots of smoothies and the like.
