Willow knelt before her small altar, her head bowed low and her hands in her lap. She felt oddly calm today despite her loneliness. She wished Tara was here. Tara understood the Goddess in a way that Willow had chosen to ignore over the last year. Tara always seemed to make every equinox and solstice feel that much more wonderful.
Willow felt the power of magic humming in the air. She could feel the seasons changing, the leaves turning to brilliant shades of fire, the grass bending low to escape the growing chill. She felt the Earth, felt what it was giving, felt its surging energy. Even the darkening chaos she had been feeling recently was changing.
She felt a peace rush through her and laid her hands on the bedroom floor, thanking the Goddess for the upcoming Harvest and she was eager to experience what lay in store.
