Matilda (Matilda) by Roald Dahl

I'm quite certain there are at least a dozen other character I could name for this prompt, but I chose Matilda because of the special place she's held in my heart since childhood.

I was always a bookworm. The library and the bookstore are easily my two most favorite places in the world and I take great pleasure in sticking my nose into a book just like Matilda.

While I never had the family life she did, I did admire the way she pointed out the criminal flaws in her dad's actions at his job and the way she stands up to Miss. Truchbull despite her cruelty. Also, she had miracle powers. :)

Tonight I'm getting together with some of the ladies from my grad school program for a night of movies and mayhem (well...really it'll just be talking, but it sounds more fun to say it that way.)
