Dr. Miranda Bailey on Grey's Anatomy

While she's not exactly the grey-haired type, she's always been a powerhouse of maturity and wisdom on the show. When the show began, she was the resident in charge of the surgical interns (Meredith, Izzie, Cristina, George, and Alex) and her tough-love attitude never deterred me from deeming her my favorite character of the series. Then, she went on to become the attending surgeon for general practice and continues to serve as the role of mentor and Mama-bear to the interns-turned-residents.

Despite her nickname ("The Nazi"), Bailey has proven time and time again that she has an emotional center (the shooting and bomb episodes come to mind) and Chandra Wilson nails those scenes with poise, grace, and brilliance.

I don't have to much to say today other than I had a great time with my grad school ladies last night. It was refreshing and much needed. Plus, Alicia cooked us creme brulee French toast for breakfast this morning.
