Angela and Brennan on Bones
While their relationship isn't as strong as say: Booth and Brennan or Angela and Hodgins, there is something about the way these two connect that just makes me smile. I like that they are able to talk to one another and be there for one another, despite their counterpoints (artist vs. scientist, free spirit vs. rational mind, etc.)
Honorable mention: Cristina and Meredith (Grey's Anatomy)
Day Twenty-Four: Favorite female romantic relationship
Day Twenty-Five: Favorite mother/daughter and/or sister relationship
Day Twenty-Six: Favorite classical female character (from pre-20th century literature or mythology or the like)
Day Twenty-Seven: A female character you have extensive personal canon for
Day Twenty-Eight: Favorite female writer (television, books, movies, etc.)
Day Twenty-Nine: A female-centric fic rec
Day Thirty: Whatever you’d like!
I have to say that, on the whole, I found this to be an entertaining and solid comedy episode.
I don't know much about Lost so I'm not sure I got the references, but as a character "The Blitz" really seemed to feel like a wonderful piece of nostalgia from Ted, Marshall, and Lily's college days. Not only that but the show implies that he visits from time to time (I assume he was probably at the LAME wedding too.)
I loved Wang guy, but not nearly as much as Robin did. I thought it was great that he communicated with them and shared Ghandi knowledge and that they sent him a group photo back.
I loved the whole "Gentlemen" gag, complete with Indiana Jones references. :P
I loved Barney/Marshall singing "My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean" (and their pouty faces when Ted wanted them to stop.)
I loved Lily making everyone hate Renee, when it was really Reese, when it was really Kate Hudson.
I loved the Lily/Barney moment where she's squished against him in the cab.
I loved Lily/Zoey because it mentioned Lily's art appealing to someone other than a dog.
I loved that we got to see the apartments again. Barney's fake stove amused me though I was pretty sure it was real back in Season 2 since I'm pretty sure Lily made eggs...
I liked Barney's candle wax/handcuff thing. It sounded evil...and dirty...and delicious.
Also epic...the knowledge that Lily can reach 4G and the smile that spread across her face when she said it.
“How many psychologists does it take to change a light bulb?”
“Only one, but the light bulb has to want to change.”
