Things and Things and Stuff and Stuff

snoggedHere are the highlights from my weekend:
+ Nick and I had a great dinner at the Green Owl. We had a mushroom and cheese crostini appetizer and I had a Chicken Caprese sandwich made on foccacia bread so divine that I shall never forget it.
+ We followed up this dinner with a viewing of Bonnie and Clyde vs. Dracula. Cheesy as heck, but entertaining.
+I read a good chunk of my book (Touch The Top of the World: A Blind Man's Journey to Climb Farther Than The Eye Can See) and should have it finished by tomorrow.
+I started watching the first season of Undead Americans. HILARIOUS!
+I watched the Emmy's (and Nick, despite my permission to go do other things, sat and watched them too. :D)
==I totally squee'd when Melissa McCarthy won Best Actress and even teared up during her acceptance speech.
==I instantly recognized Cobie Smulders before realizing who any of the other a capella members were (aka before the prompt thingy came up on the bottom.) That said, I thought that bit was a little...lame.
==Jim Parsons! WOO!
==Modern Family = WOO!
==I was disappointed to find out that Cat Deeley lost to Jeff Probst (Survivor) though. Crossing my fingers that she gets a nom next year.
+I'm excited for the return of shows this week. I just hope I can manage them all....

That said, I haven't been happy about the fact that she hasn't been nominated at all up until now and I think Jeff Probst is a loser.
