Over the last year or so, I've grown disenchanted with Glee. While some episodes are great, most feel like a chore too watch.

So for the last week I've been telling myself that I'm not going to watch. That I'm going to swear off of Glee this season and focus on the long list of new shows and returning shows I have laid out for the fall.

But really...that's just a hollow I can quit anytime I want excuse because as I write this, I've got the pause button pressed in order to write this and I'm five minutes into the episode already.

*sigh*

Oh Glee, why can't I just quit you?

first ep's pretty promising, though, right? :) I have high hopes for this season, and if that spinoff thing happens, which it looks like they're building up to, i will watch the hell out of that show :P hehe

I'll be watching it in the next few days. I still have no idea how it became one of my regulars...

Yeah...
There was some pretty promising stuff there.
Plus, it doesn't hurt none that Blaine is at McKinley now.

The whole Sue-hates-the-arts thing is getting pretty old though.

The I can quit anytime I want only works if it's not crack. Glee = crack. You need hardcore therapy to quit it.

That aside if the writing stays as good as this episode's writing was, I don't think I'll need to starting booking that appointment for therapy. (Then again I've said before, I will watch the show for Jane Lynch. She's amazing.)

LOL!

I feel the same way. I just recently watched the first two seasons and pretty much the whole time I was thinking 'Wow. This is one of the worst shows I've ever seen in my life and I CAN'T STOP WATCHING IT!'.

Hehe. I hope you found some stuff to enjoy about the episode. :)

Not sure how much I'll be around today for emailing... have to be off stamping booklets. :-/

LOL.
That's probably true.
Or you know, weekly Glee Addicts Anonymous meetings. :)

I don't really care much for Sue as a character these days. Jane Lynch may be amazing, but I just don't enjoy how the keep setting the reset button on Sue.

I enjoyed some parts (ex. Blaine transferring to McKinley, Mercedes and her new boyfriend, the "We Got The Beat" cover, the Anything Goes/Anything You Can Do mash-up, Kurt/Rachel bonding.)

But other parts didn't work for me quite so much.

Those were the good parts for me too.

I totally know how you feel, lol. I said at the beginning, when the show started that I wasn't going to watch, and now I'm anxiously awaiting tomorrow night so that me and my mom can watch it together. Very sad, lol

Yeah but that's the way the show does thing, they hit reset on everyone. I'll lay money on Quinn's bad girl attitude will be reset in a week or two. Just like Rachel and Kurt's friendship, how long is that going to last for?

I've always felt like Glee was one of those shows that I could enjoy, but it doesn't mean much to be in the long run, and isn't a show that I'd remember. I managed to watch all of last season and felt the same way as you. I'm also telling myself that I REALLY need to stop watching this season, but I've also been reading spoilers and they all sound so promising!

The first episode of Season 3 was surprisingly good. :)
