Holiday Wish List 2011

•Make an LJ post. It can be public or friends only, whatever you’re most comfortable with.
The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes, and these wishes can be anything - from simple (a fan fiction written about your favorite pairing), to medium (a DVD you want), to really extravagant (a brand new laptop or car).
Just make sure these are wishes for things you really truly want.
Step Two
•Skim through your friends list and see who has posted their own wish lists.
Then - and this is the most important part - if you find a wish you can grant, and it’s in your heart to do so, make sure that person’s wish comes true.
Sometimes a person’s trash is another person’s treasure.
If you have a leather jacket you don’t want or a gift certificate you’re never going to use, give it to someone who wants it.
Step Three
• Post this wish list any time after November 1st. Then repost it two weeks before Christmas.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to.
The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday fairy--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
• There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached.
Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive.
And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
1] Fanfiction or fanart for any of my favorite fandoms and/or pairings. This includes Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel the Series, Leverage, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Community, Parks and Recreation, Happy Endings, The Vampire Diaries (seriously, if anyone can write me a Caroline/Stephan OR Caroline/Damon fic, I’ll love you for an eternity.) As for pairings, I’m fond of the unconventional and alternative ones, but there are a few canon ones I like. A majority of those I like are listed on my profile page.
2] Books.“Going Bovine” by Libba Bray, “Want To Go Private?” by Sarah Littman, “The Descent” by Jeff Long, “Flux” by Kim Fielding, “The Silent Gondoliers” by William Goldman, “Inside the Criminal Mind” by Stanton E. Samenow. For more book ideas, feel free to visit my Amazon.com Wish List
3] DVDs. “Fido,” “The Gingerdead Man 1, 2, and 3,”, “Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead,” “Penelope”, “Frankenhooker,” “Pineapple,” “Porky’s 1, 2, and 3.”
4] TV On DVD. “How I Met Your Mother Season 5”
5] Mix CDs. Send me your favorite songs, songs you’d think I’d like, songs that make you laugh, etc. I would particularly love to increase my collection of Barenaked Ladies tunes as I adore so many of them (especially from these albums: "Gordon," "Stunt," "Maroon," and "Everything To Everyone")
6] A hand-crafted item. It could be a paper snowflake or a knitted Jayne hat. Don’t really care as long as it was made by YOU.
7] Giant Microbes (http://www.giantmicrobes.com/us/main/giantmicrobes-originals/). They’re cute, and fluffy, and won’t make you sick (unlike the real thing).
8] Kindle with Keyboard 3G, Free 3G + Wi-Fi, 6" E Ink Display. I’m definitely not expecting this one given the $189 price tag, but that doesn’t mean I can’t dream.
9] Letters, Christmas cards, postcards. I get giddy walking to my mailbox and seeing something that has my name on it.
10] Give someone you love a hug (virtual or otherwise) and tell them how much they mean to you.
