Author: snogged
Disclaimer: Joss Whedon and company own the characters of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I don’t. Please don’t sue.
Pairing: Spike/Angel
Rating: FRM/R
Warnings: sexy times
Word count: 100

Angel’s tongue delves into Spike’s willing mouth and for a minute, it feels just like the first time. The mistake time. The never-speak-of-this-again time.
Their nude bodies rub together. Everything they are is friction and fire. They’re repeating history, renewing lust, and Spike knows damn well that the moment they separate, it’ll be 12:01 a.m. on December 26th and the magic of the season will lose its hold until next year.
In that second minute, though, everything changes.
Just a whisper hovering over Spike’s earlobe, a promise sealed with a kiss, a victory neither Cadmean nor Pyrrhic.
“Mine. Forever mine.”

Vampires don’t shiver.
Sure, their skin is as cold as winter’s icy grip, but there’s no physical need to stay warm. No psychological need either.
But he can’t stop…
…trembling…
…shaking…
…bloody fucking shivering.
She finds him in the alley, bruised and broken, bracing his limp frame against the concrete wall.
She touches his forehead, murmurs an incantation to Gaea, and breathes…
…in and out…
…in and out…
…in and out.
The warmth of her compassion spreads through him the way human blood once had. It restores him, fills him, utterly thrills him.
Best of all, she makes him whole.

…so leave a peppermint stick for Old Saint Nick. Hang it on the Christmas tree!
Spike woke to the sounds of Doyle singing. From the sound of it, the song was a joyful tune. One that probably got lots of repetitive play on those bloody radio stations that insisted on playing Christmas tunes the moment the Thanksgiving turkey was pulled from the oven.
With a groan, Spike rolled out of bed and went to investigate the ruckus.
What he found was Doyle decked out in nothing but a Santa hat dancing around the Christmas tree.
Spike smirked, “Merry Christmas indeed.”

Re: "Shiver" your story...
on 2015-06-30 05:01 pm (UTC)DreamsofSpike's work is often dark- regarding Buffy that is: his work often touches on her enslaving him, and is a fun touch.
I don't know DreamsofSpike's gender in real life, so I'm using the default English Gender setting of the masculine for that author, whos work I so enjoy reading.
Sincerely your fan, for by your works you've bagged me,
Vantiri.

on 2015-07-03 01:43 am (UTC)Good to know, and that writer's birthday just recently occured, I don't know if you wished that person a happy birthday, but I have my bases covered in that regard.
Sincerely your fan,
Vantiri.
P.S. I just recently looked at the link you sent me in a comment, and it's a re-doing of your story. I liked it, but I'm trying to track down the original person who came up with the idea of Buffy being the abuser in that relationship and thank them personally. I like that touch, not that I hate Spike, but so rarely do you hear of the abuser being the lady in the relationship that it strikes me as intreguing.
