Nick and I got invited to a Superbowl party hosted by the neighbors I met while passing out Halloween candy last October. I'm looking forward to spending time with them since up until today, plans to get together since October haven't panned out.
In other news, thanks to
angelskuuipo and my dear friend, Kit, I have now seen the first two episodes of the Doctor Who revival (aka Doctor #9.) I keep making the mistake of liking certain characters only to have them die a few scenes later though that hasn't happened to Rose yet. I HEART HER! (Please don't spoil me....) I also watched most of the first episode from way back in the day when Doctor Who first aired in 1963. I say most because it didn't excite me like the new ones do. Nick really likes the old ones though so I'm sure he'll be watching more of them.
:D

on 2012-02-05 10:33 pm (UTC)Have fun at the Superbowl party. I'll be watching - well, have it on - at home. I don't care for football, but the Pats are playing, so I should watch. Plus, I like the commercials.

We didn't really watch too much of the game. Our hosts even admitted that they have the party for the guests, the food, and the commercials. It was my kind of gig.

on 2012-02-05 11:27 pm (UTC)I found the Doctors 9 and 10 seasons an acquired taste myself, but by now I'm rather fond of them. I just don't have much interest in trying to make myself like the older stuff, though. Old TV is such a trial to sit through . . .

on 2012-02-06 10:14 am (UTC)Anyway, YAY ECCLES. I actually think I prefer him to Tennant, but I wouldn't dare spoil you so as to tell you why. I'm not at all a fan of the older DW either, at least not the episodes I've seen, because they're so low-budget it's distracting. But I hope you enjoy watching!!

on 2012-02-06 01:19 pm (UTC)And I did. We spent most of the time watching the commercials and I got to entertain an 8 year old kid with my knowledge of Yu-Gi-Oh.
