My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Admittedly, I haven't read "Sugar Daddy" yet. I was introduced to this series because someone had recommended "Smooth Talking Stranger." After I finished that, I felt I had a choice between reading more about Haven and reading more about Gage. Given how much I liked Haven in "STS", I knew without a doubt that "BED" had to be next on my list. This book didn't disappoint either.
As someone with an interest in personality disorders, I was pleased with the way that Kleypas explored Nick's characterization. He was EXACTLY the asshole I expected him to be. I wanted to kick him in the nuts so bad!!
What made me even happier was that Kleypas shows Haven's strength. Her perseverance. The challenge she faced in leaving the abusive relationship. I liked that Kleypas didn't sugar-coat the trauma and the psychological impact that Haven's relationship with Nick had on her.
I grew fond of Hardy Cates and found him to be an acceptable match for Haven.
I'm definitely looking forward to reading "Sugar Daddy" now. :)
