The Exceptions by David Cristofano
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The Exceptions is told from the perspective of Jonathan Bovaro. He is the romantic, charming male lead that readers were introduced to in The Girl She Used To Be. He is also a mob boss's son. This book is split into four sections. The first section gives us more of a prologue to the first book. We get to see Jonathan as a younger man, get to track Melody through the years along side him. The next two sections are The Girl She Used To Be told from Jonathan's POV. We get to see into his psyche, get to see what he was up to in the scenes where he was missing. The fourth section wraps up both Jonathan and Melody's stories in a way that absolutely made me wibble. Wibbling, in this case, is a very good thing. I'm so very happy that I stumbled upon these books. Both are top favorites in 2016.

A Is For Alibi by Sue Grafton - I actually took a short break from this book in order to read The Exceptions. I'm hoping to toss myself in. I'm also hoping some of the suspense/thrills pick up.
