'Lyri' technically comes from the Angel character Illyria. ilLYRIa...get it? ;) When I was signing up to a new forum, 'Aly' (which I'd always used in the past) was taken. I wanted something fandom related, so I created 'Lyri' from 'Illyria', thinking I was being clever. Turns out, I didn't make it up, it's actually used in the show, lol.

I fell in love with the name anyway, it is me, it's what everyone calls me, even in real life, so when I was joining LJ, I wanted to use it. But 'Lyri' was taken, so I needed something else. So I stuck 'sweet' in front of it and called it a job well done, lol.
