Open Wide The Gates: Bristol Ren Faire 2012

This weekend marked the 25th opening weekend of the Bristol Ren Faire and yours truly was there to help with the celebration.






I love the blue and black layers. :) The girl was sweet too. I love getting to make new friends at Faire.


The men of the Barely Balanced acrobatic comedy troupe. Cameron is the founder of the group and he's the one pointing sideways. Jimmy is part of my Faire "family." He's also Loki's little brother and gives the best sweaty hugs you can get from a man on stilts.

And this is my guilty pleasure purchase. The ladies of the Bast's Garden menagerie did a remarkable job re-creating my favorite dragon, Toothless, from How To Train Your Dragon. Reportedly, I got the only one with the "leather" tail fin this weekend. :P

I wish I could say that I spent less than $50 on him, but at least, I spent less than $80 and that's good, right?

Thanks! The outfit was actually a steal from a 90% off Halloween costumer rack at K-Mart a few years ago. Given the heat and humidity, it was a good choice for Saturday. I wore more traditional garb today because it was much cooler.
