I wish weekends stopped being so darn short, especially when I have a rare weekend where I'm not rushing about like a chicken with her head cut off (Granted, I do get to have another one of those weekends this upcoming weekend to, but I promise you, they really are few and far between.)

Anyways, I'd say this was a good one. On Friday night, Nick and I went to Murph's NorthShore for supper/Friday Night Fish Fry/Ann treats Nick to a date night because he had to work overtime this week. They sat us out on the patio (per our request) and we got to watch the sun set over the water. SO PRETTY! Then we came home and our neighbors, Lee and Carol, were having a bonfire so we joined them for a bit.

On Saturday, I baked dark chocolate peanut butter bars and took them with us to Amber and Joe's house for an awesome gathering of awesomeness. Joe grilled up chicken breasts and provided a wide range of BBQ sauces for us to dip said chicken into in. Amber had whipped up a bacon ranch pasta salad that was positively divine. It was a great evening of food, drink, and chatter.

Today, I did very little. I've been watching this Australian show called Dance Academy on Netflix Instant Streaming so I watched a few episodes of that. I also caught up on So You Think You Can Dance? Based on the eliminations that occurred and the guest judges who seemed utterly pointless, I'm feeling a little bit like the show should be called: So You Think You Can Piss Me Off? But I made up for that minor irritation by going for an awesome 2 mile walk and doing some reading in my current book, Love's Executioner and Other Tales of Psychotherapy by Irvin Yalom.

All in all it was a good weekend.

It was just too short.

I just need to get through my client caseload this week.

How's Chris doing today?

Chris won't let anything keep him down. He's hanging out with friends on his crutches. I guess he was in some pain earlier, but he's pushing through it.

I thought guys liked it when girls played nurse, but he's not having any of it. Also I'm not very sympathetic soo...

That does sound rather indulgent!
But it also sounds wonderful. :)

Love's Executioner is pretty decent. There are definitely stories I like over others though.

Sounds like a fun weekend.

How is Dance Academy? I have it in my Netflix queue but haven't watched yet.

I was sad to see Amelia go on SYTYCD this week. I agree that the guest judges were pretty useless. They need to go back to the choreographers rotate as the third judge.

Dance Academy is decent. It definitely improves as you progress through the episodes and there are some great shots of Sydney, Australia!

Amelia was totally amazing. I was rooting for her and Eliana so I guess now I need to root for Eliana even though Witney is probably going to win the female winner slot.

LOL! That's too funny. Yeah I have heard some negative things about the format this year.

I can safely say I'm not a fan of the format.

But I'm also not a fan of Amelia getting cut.
