So does anyone remember that Incredible Bat Presentation I went to a few months ago?

Well, for those who don't, I went. I had a lot of fun. And I really enjoyed chatting with the woman who presented it so much so that I added her as a friend on Facebook.

I'm beginning to regret it.

She's a serious Republican, possibly even Tea Party-level Republican.

She's told me in the past that she grew up in Reagan's era, believes in trickle-down economics, and thinks a Republican president would lead us down the path of prosperity.

For a while, I was ignoring her. If her political posts came up, I would ignore them or hide them or do whatever it took to avoid seeing her get all twitter-pated about Paul Ryan.

And then this morning happened.

She posted a venting comment about Obama having a $20,000 fundraiser with various NBA Players.
The initial post that she put up on Facebook today: The president was addressing a group of 120 current and former NBA stars and other wealthy supporters attending the $20,000 per plate "Obama Classic" fundraiser in New York City. Spotted in the crowd were co-host Michael Jordan and his fiancee, Yvette Prieto, Bill Bradley, Patrick Ewing, Education Secretary Arne Duncan and Walt "Clyde" Frazier.
"This is my dream team," Obama told the group at the top of his remarks.
"It's very rare I come to an event where I'm like the fifth or sixth most interesting person. Usually, people want to take a picture with me, sit next to me, talk to me. … That has not been the case at this event," he joked.

Which was followed by what she felt in response: " I think he comes off in these remarks as very arrogant. It's rare he goes to an event where he is not thought of as the most interesting person? And these ultra-rich (especially in the case of Michael Jordan) people are his dream team. So are you less fortunate, poorer people feeling his LOVE?? I just don't see the attraction to this man."

Which was than followed up by this: "I also think it is nervy of him to criticize Akin for his remarks, and say he obviously missed science class. Well, Mr. 57 states, and needs to visit one more, where were you in Social Studies and Geography??"

I decided to respond in a message and told her flat out that she supports Akin and his remarks, despite ROMNEY coming out against Akin and urging him to drop from the race, that I would drop her as a friend on Facebook.

I'm tempted to do it before she even responds back.

Bitch.

I don't blame you in the slightest for your incoherency. I was ranting pretty early on this morning and Nick was just giving me those puppy dog eyes that said: "Not now, hunny, sleepy."

Speaking of the Republican party, it ticked me off that they followed up their urging of Akin to drop-out by introducing their platform that all abortion is illegal, even in cases of rape and incest.

That's just shitty to me.

It is. I knew it would happen though, they've been very clear on their back to God status, but it's just stupid.

As it turns out another representative says it's because if they make exceptions for rape dishonest women who had consensual sex out of marriage will just lie about being raped to get the abortion. Because we're fallen human beings we lie. Specifically women. *rage*
