Saying Yes To The Dress

I found and bought THE dress today. It took me four stores to get to this spot, but I'm so glad it's done and I'm so happy with what I found.

I'm posting some photos below. The dress comes with straps, but they are detachable. Feel free to share your thoughts on straps vs. no straps. I like the gown either way.

I vote for the no strap look but it is beautiful either way.

One of the reasons I'd go for the no strap look is because my sister's wedding dress had straps and she spent a lot of time trying to keep the straps from sliding down her shoulders.

Yeah. I had the strap-slidey problem with a few dresses I tried on, but this one didn't seem to be an issue.

Of course, if you're moving around, you never can tell what will happen.

You could always do something like straps for the ceremony and strapless for the reception, etc.

Gorgeous! I definitely vote for strapless. The straps look like superfluous bits of lace that I wore on my sundresses as a little girl (to keep them from falling down I guess) while strapless emphasizes the decollete. (ie the lovely curves of your bosom and I do not mean that in a lesbian. At all. Except in the "appreciator of feminine beauty" sense.)

It's a gorgeous dress! I vote for without the straps. To me, the straps take away some of the beauty of the bodice. Also, if you have straps, you may have problems keeping the straps up with you moving around.
