I went and saw The Fault In Our Stars yesterday and really enjoyed the way they transferred the pages of John Green's novel to the silver screen. There were parts that made me giggle and even more parts that made me cry. I think most everyone in the audience was pretty puffy-eyed by the end.

I think one of the most amusing moments for me though was the brief clip of Buffy and Angel exchanging a rain-drenched kiss in Angel's apartment at the end of Season 2's "Surprise." It was a nice nod to fandom.

Has anyone else seen the film (or another one you'd like to recommend)?

It's okay to say that. I think it's intended to make people feel emotional given the content of the film.

I almost saw this yesterday, but planned it for the end of my errand running so by the time it was time to go to the theatre I was pooped and just wanted to go home. I do want to see it, though, so I'll try again another time.

I saw one review that said it would be this generation's "Say Anything".

I hope you get a chance!

Also, I hate to admit this, but I've never seen "Say Anything." It's in my Netflix queue, but it just hasn't been watched yet. *hides*

I'm glad you enjoyed the movie!

I prolly won't watch it until it comes out on DVD. I'd rather bawl my eyes out at home.

As for a rec, I've mentioned it before, but I highly recommend Chef. :)

I haven't seen Chef listed at any of the local theaters. But I'll definitely watch it when it comes out on DVD.
